Dear members,
London Badminton Association appreciates your support and passion for badminton in London, Ontario. We had a great time last year on our Christmas Appreciation Day. Therefore, we would like to celebrate this Christmas with you and have a fun day together again this year.
We will host a Fun Christmas Badminton Tournament at Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre (656 Elizabeth St, London, ON N5Y 6L3) on December 14, 2024 (Saturday), 1:00PM – 9:00PM. We will provide dinner, and have fun lucky draws during the dinner time.
FUN LUCKY DRAWS – FOR ALL MEMBERS
We are pleased to inform you that this year, all members (September 2024-June 2025 membership, except for LBA committee and their family members) who attend the fun lucky draws event are eligible to have a draw. Participation in the Badminton Tournament is NOT required. The fun lucky draw event will take place at dinner time.
BADMINTON TOURNAMENT – FOR MEMBERS + 1
The tournament is open to LBA members (September 2024-June 2025 membership), but a participating member is entitled to sign up with a non-member as a team in the tournament.
The tournament registration is FREE for members (September 2024-June 2025 membership), and $20 for one event and $30 for two events for non-members.
Registration for the Badminton Tournament will start on December 1, 2024 at 12:00 a.m. (noon) and will provide a separate notification for registration close to that time. We do NOT accept registration prior to this date and time. Registration form will be posted on the home page on December 1st.
We only have events for doubles. To be eligible to participate, your team must meet the following conditions:
- One player MUST be a LBA member for the year 2024-2025;
- Each player must be over 14; and
- Each player shall be able to contribute his/her own feather shuttlecocks for each game.
Partner up and wait for the Registration to start!
If you are interested in participation but cannot find a partner, the LBA can help match for you. Please email to register@londonbadminton.ca to indicate you need assistance to find a partner as early as possible. However, no guarantee of a successful match can be provided.
