Similar to last year, we continue to provide playing nights on Tuesday (Frederick Banting Secondary School) from 6:30pm to 8:15pm, Thursday (London Central Secondary School) from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, and Saturday (London Central Secondary School) from 7:15pm to 10:00pm.

The new season starts on September 11 and ends on June 30. To prevent overcrowding, the club limits the number of member registration at 32 per night (4 courts in total). Please note, you are only considered a member on the night(s) which you registered while the drop-in policy will apply on the nights which you are not. New Courts!

We are please to announce that, in an effort to make badminton more accessible to potential players in and around London, we have secured courts from Medway High School from September to June 2017-2018 for weekdays Monday from 8:00pm to 9:30pm, Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, and Friday from 8:00pm to 9:30pm. Two badminton courts will be available on Mondays and Fridays, and six courts will be available on Wednesdays. These courts will be self-supervised and players are responsible for bringing their own shuttles.


Non-refundable Membership Fees and recommended play levels          

  • Monday nights:  $30 (recommended play level – all)
  • Tuesday nights: $60 (recommended play level – all)
  • Wednesday nights: $30 (recommended play level – all)
  • Thursday nights: $80 (recommended play level – intermediate to advanced)
  • Friday nights: $30 (recommended play level – all)
  • Saturday nights: $80 (recommended play level – intermediate to advanced)

Children’s Friday Night Drop-In

Please note that children under the supervision of parents and guardians can continue to play at Frederick Banting SS on Fridays from 7:00pm-9:300pm. The drop-in charge is $1 per child.


Membership Registration (Starting Saturday, June 23th)

You can register via email at register@londonbadminton.ca. Once the registration has been processed, the applicants are responsible to make the payment within 2 days. You will be officially registered once payments have been received, and a confirmation email will then be sent to the applicant. The details required in the email are as follows:

Onsite/In Person: 

Starting on September 11, 2017, you can register and pay in person (cash only) during the weekly badminton play nights if spots are still available.


Waiver of Liability

All players, regular or drop-in, will be required to sign a waiver of liability form before they start playing on LBA administered courts. Children under the age of 18 needs to obtain signature from a parent or guardian on the waiver form. Waiver form will be available on site after you pay for your registration.

Drop-In Policy

We encourage long term registration for all players as they get the most value. However, those elected to not become a member can still play on any given night by paying $10/per night drop-in fee. Drop-in price is the same regardless if you play Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday. Notice that we do not offer the drop-in option for Medway on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. As usual, members get priority if the courts are full and drop in will not be allowed. To prevent disappointments, it requires non-members to submit a drop-in request to dropin@londonbadminton.ca

Before 5:00pm on the day you are going to play, we will let you know as soon as possible whether there are spots remaining. If players show up without an approved drop-in request, they will not be permitted to play if the maximum number of people (32) has been reached.

  • The membership Fee will not be refunded once you are successfully registered regardless of opting-out or partial absence from the play season.
