The 2017 Christmas Cup Tournament will take place on November 24th and 25th at Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre (656 Elizabeth Street N5Y 6L3) and London Central Secondary School (509 Waterloo St, London, On N6B 2P8). Listed Below are the tournament schedule and format for all events as well as other general information. the registration deadline is Wednesday, November 22th, 2017.

Events are subject to minimum registration of 4 teams and maximum of 16 teams. In case of low registration, that particular event may be cancelled. Notice that, an email with the finalized tournament details such as the start time of each event will be sent out to all participants shortly after the registration deadline.
Format:
All players will be self-drawn into groups and first undergo a non-elimination (best of 1) group round-robin to determine seeding at the beginning. All players will then move onto the single elimination playoff (best of 3) upon conclusion of group, in which placement will be determined by your win/loss record during the group round-robin. In the scenario of identical win/loss record, total point differential will be used as a tie-breaker. All matches will adhere to the 21-points format. Prizes are available to the top 3 finalists of each event.
Shuttles:
Feather shuttlecocks will be provided and used throughout both group stage and single elimination playoff. Players can use nylon shuttlecocks in the match if both sides can reach a
Registration Method & Fee:
To register, please send an email to register@londonbadminton.ca including your name, partner’s name (if applicable), and event(s). A confirmation email will be send out after we have received your registration.
The registration fee is $20 per person for the first event, and $10 extra for each additional event. All payments are to be paid by e-transfer or in cash on the days of regular play (Thursdays/Saturdays) and the tournament.

The Registration Fee will not be refunded once you are successfully registered regardless your opt-out or partial absence from the tournament.
ATTENTION
- All awaiting participants and audience should stay at the auditorium upstairs to avoid congestion around the courts.
- The presiding referee in courts has the absolute authority in making on-the-fly decisions and final calls that enforce the rules of the sport. Please respect the referees and their decisions.
- All participants must sign on the Registration Forms and Disclaimers before any games can be played
